Commuter of the Month

Stephanie Welch

Stephanie Welch

June's Commuter of the Month: Stephanie Welch

Stephanie works for the Knox County Health Department, and from the emails we received, it's obvious she's a true ambassador for Smart Trips.  Not only does she bike to work, she also arranged for office bus passes and encourages Health Department employees to use them on trips from their Dameron Ave. office to the City County Building.

We heard from several fellow Smart Trippers who said Stephanie "sets a wonderful example for the rest of us."  They also told us that "she is a great resource for information and always encourages us to find alternative ways to save energy on our commutes."  According to a co-worker, "it is very motivating to see her riding into work and she is a big reason I have become a carpooler.  She sets a great example and it makes you stop to think about the environment and how you also can help.  I wanted to nominate Stephanie in hopes that she will find out that her effort has made a larger impact than she knows."  Thanks, Stephanie!  We love it when peer pressure works!
