Earn Rewards!
When you take an alternative to driving alone, you not only benefit the environment and save on your commuting costs, such as gas, parking fees, vehicle maintenance and insurance; but you are also eligible for Smart Trips reward programs.

Commuter Bucks
$10 gift cards are awarded each quarter to all participants who log trips by carpool, vanpool, bike, transit, walking, or teleworking 30 or more days in the quarter. (Quarters are January-March, April-June, July-September, and October-December.)

$25 gift cards are awarded each month to our Commuter of the Month, selected from nominations submitted by fellow Smart Trips participants.

$50 gift cards are awarded each month to four lucky participants chosen in a random drawing who logged 10 or more days of Smart Trips that month.

$100 gift cards are awarded quarterly to three lucky participants chosen in a random drawing who logged Smart Trip 30 or more days in the quarter.

Contact Smart Trips

Smart Trips, a program of the Knoxville Regional Transportation Planning Organization, serves the urbanized areas of Knox, Blount, Sevier, Jefferson, and Anderson Counties. The Smart Trips Program is funded by the US Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, the Tennessee Department of Transportation, Knox County, the ALCOA Foundation and Tennessee Valley Bicycles.

Smart Trips Waiver of Liability
Participation in Smart Trips programs such as carpool, vanpool, riding the bus, biking, walking to work, and the Emergency Ride Home (ERH) program is an individual decision. Participants are completely responsible for the operation of carpools and participation in any Smart Trips programs. SMART TRIPS AND THE KNOXVILLE REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLANNING ORGANIZATION SHALL HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS, EXPENSES, OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY INDIVIDUAL'S PARTICIPATION IN A CARPOOL, VANPOOL, BUS, BIKE, WALK, OR ERH PROGRAMS.
